I'm not kidding that was literally what was going through my mind in the frame in my thumbnail as I was looking up. I saw him in his little life vest hopping over and thought oh dear... please let me get through this clip... and I DID!

This was my very first swim in a tail at this particular pool and I have to say, despite a few camera mishaps, it was a great experience!

The little kiddo you see me blowing bubble rings for was this adorable little guy with his dad. It reminded me of all the times my Mum took me swimming as a kid.

My family is going through a really hard time right now and the only way I am seemingly able to deal with it is by throwing myself headfirst into my mermaiding. I swam twice this week and have been planning videos and content like crazy.

As long as I don't stop moving, things can't creep into my mind and I won't fall apart.

So I've decided to do these videos as a bit of a series and I may even choose to do some with voiceovers in the future talking about swimming as a mermaid and answering other questions I am often asked.

This is also footage from my very first swim in my newest mermaid tail creation. It's the first time I've been in one of my full tails in well over a year. It was so much heavier than I remember but it felt great to be back in my fins!
