​Hey my beautiful little fishes! ♥​​ In today’s post I want to talk to you guys more about the video I made on mermaid pods and what they are!

So let’s get right to it! What is a mermaid pod?

A mermaid pod is a group of mermaids belonging to a specific group, community or area and it can be broken down several different ways.

For example: I belong to the Canadian Mermaid Pod, the BC Mermaid Pod, the Vancouver Mermaid Pod and then my Family Pod (consisting of my closest friends and family).

A common question I am asked is what you should do if you don’t have a pod or if there aren’t any other mermaids in the area you know of.

You have a few options here. Thanks to the power of the internet you can Google local mers in your area, or you can also visit the main mer-community form: the MerNetwork. I would also suggest searching through the various Facebook groups available. Even many of the different mermaid tail makers out their have their own “pod” or community groups on Facebook.

Of course if you are ever unsure of which pod you belong to, regardless of where you live, you can always consider yourself an honorary Vancouver Mermaid Pod Member! The more the merrier! ♥
