Hello my fishes! How are you doing? I know things have been super hard lately and I just wanted to pop by to say hi and catch up with you all. I've been enjoying an ebook by Angie Bellemare (check it out here: https://angiebellemare.com/contentmachine) over the last few days talking about the concept of a "content machine" and really diving into getting your online business going through social media. The fact that things have changed so much with everything going on in the world, with pools and parks being closed, it's been a real challenge to make new mermaid content. The silver lining is that I have wanted to make a change to my strategy and now seems like as good a time as any to start exploring and getting creative! I'm trying to use this time out of my tail and away from the "normal" stuff I do, to catch up on a lot of business stuff that I've had on the back burner. Some of the things I've found to help me recently: 1. Get up and have a shower! It doesn't matter if it's late in the day, just do it anyway! 2. Put on fresh clothes, even fresh PJs will do! 3. Have a nice tall glass of water, throw in a slice of lemon for bonus points! Remember that this is not the norm and it is totally OK to not be OK during this time. Take some time, if you can, to invest in yourself. Now's the time to start that YouTube channel, start that art project that's been on the back burner, plan for your future projects. Get creative! Use this time to your advantage! Remember that nothing lasts forever and this too shall pass. We will get through this. Now an update for my YouTube channel!
I'm going to be tweaking my upload schedule and aiming to get two videos up each week. The podcast will stay in its Monday slot (the time of day might change) and my videos will go up one on Tuesday and one on Friday. I feel like this is going to be a good way to go and I'm excited to experiment a bit with this. The next video coming up is going to be an AWESOME swimming video with Ripple the Mermaid! Thank you so much for stopping by the blog and I look forward to chatting with you again soon! Happy Swimming! Courtney Mermaid
