For me this response is an honest one because I have always considered myself to be a mermaid. You don't need to over-complicate your story, you can keep it simple and to the point. Try to really feel the energy of the person you are talking to, especially if it is a child. Not all children are so fortunate to have parents who nurture their imaginations and they might have a hard time getting on board with you as a mermaid. That's OK! We can't get upset with them for that! It's our responsibility as mermaids to help show people that it's OK to be creative and use your imagination. Patience is key!
If you believe what your saying about yourself as a mermaid, others will believe it. You need to speak with authority and confidence in whatever story you decide to go with.
When it comes to how you feel about being a mermaid, you need to take the time to decide what mermaiding means to you. There are so many aspects to being a mermaid and so much potential in so many areas, that there will always be a place for you.
It's a journey my fishes, we are all swimming at a different speed and that's part of the magic!
You can be as real as you want to be and you can quite literally use mermaiding to transform your life and create your own reality, one of creativity, wonder, and magic!
Definitely check out this week's podcast episode as well to complete the picture!
