Hello my fishes and welcome back to another blog post! Today we are talking all about the Fantasea Too mermaid monofin by the epic tail maker, Mertailor! I receive a lot of questions about this fin and some of the most common ones included its level of comfort and speed. This is a wonderfully comfortable monofin, well done Mertailor! I think I may even find it more comfortable (in terms of flow as well) than the original Fantasea fin. I personally don't make it a point to swim super fast, but I could see someone being able to gather a decent amount of speed in this fin. The coolest part about it for me tough is the silhouette. While the style may not be my personal taste, I cannot deny the fact that this fin is cool as heck! Just look at my shadow in this pic! How many other fins out there do you know that can deliver such a punch! It's so on-point with the vibe it's trying to achieve.
Even though I don't intend to purchase one for myself, this fin would be perfect for someone going for a very specific look as a mermaid. Definitely cool! While I can't speak on its durability, I have seen people have a few issues with it, but if we are being totally honest these issues can be had with ANY silicone fin. Once you get a little tear, it can become a BIG DEAL quick which is why you should always check your fins for damage after each swim and be gentle with them! Well done Mertailor! Mermaid Lucia blocked me on Instagram after I made my opinions on this matter known.
I would also like to add that I do not believe them to be the manufacturer of this monofin but merely a distributor.
Overall I highly recommend this fin for practice swims as it makes the whole experience far simpler as I'm not having to haul a giant tail bag with a huge monofin in it.
