A little bit of historyThough my mermaid journey began in 2006 with 3 very simple Spandex mermaid tails, my deep-dive into mermaid tail creation from an artistic perspective didn't really start until 2011 with the creation of my first painted fabric mermaid tail.
Here you can see the digital concept for that original tail, designed in Adobe Photoshop. I had done it as a mockup only as this was still years before I began exploring printing my digital creations onto fabric. The tail on the right is my latest personal tail creation (as of 2022), also designed in Adobe Photoshop. A lot of love went into both of these designs and I'm so glad I at least kept a JPG copy of the 2011 tail as the PSD file has long since been lost. |
